Welcome to Mr. McCormack’s Grade 6 Class.
Attached is the booklet of all the national winners of the 2011-2012 Legion Poster, Poetry and Essay Competitions. We are extremely proud to have one of our class members, Naomi Pratt, included in this publication. Naomi finished an amazing second in all of Canada for her poem. Please take a moment to review the booklet and share your comments.
Sarah Powell earned a gold, Paige Pagliario achieved a silver and she was only one point off a gold. Hank Dutton did very well in getting a bronze. The grade 6′s were in a tough competition with grade 7 students in the Intermediate Division. It was a great day and the weather cooperated. Stay tuned for a summary of overall school results.

Grade 6′s Finish EQAO
Jun 5
Thank you to all the grade 6 students for your excellent effort and concentration during EQAO Testing. A special thanks to Mrs. Pagliario for organizing the healthy snack program for all of the grade 3 and 6 students during each of the EQAO sessions. I know the students really appreciated the yummy snacks.
EQAO will take place in our class for the first 100 minutes each day for 6 consecutive school days, starting on Monday, May 29th and concluding on June 4th. Thanks to Mrs. Pagliaro for organizing the healthy snacks that will be donated for our grade 3 and grade 6 students during EQAO. These snacks will help to provide a mental boost for our students during the testing. Thanks to all parents who have donated a healthy snack.
